Jo-Anne Cole
Jo has extensive experience in selling, being involved in sales for over thirty years. In fact, her sales career started as a nine year old in her parents' grocery shop where she was in charge of the lolly counter!
From there she worked in various sales roles, including appointment setting for a faux brick cladding company. The cold calls don't come any colder than that! She lived in the USA for 13 years and in the UK for a year, being self-employed for most of that time.
She moved to Australia in 1989, landing a job as an Account Representative at Yellow Pages, which is where she and Wendy first met. She was consistently the top national sales performer and was quickly promoted to Account Executive in charge of major accounts.
From there, she helped pioneer 1900 telephone services in Australia and 0900 in NZ, inventing numerous games and developing a number of high profile promotions. She has owned and operated several diverse businesses all with a sales and/or marketing focus and has enjoyed a colourful and varied career, but that’s another book entirely!
When not co-authoring for close friends, multi-faceted Jo writes for a number of magazines and runs her own design and copywriting business in addition to the burgeoning enterprise she and Wendy run together. She lives in New Zealand and has turned Wendy into a trans-Tasman commuter.
